Water used to flow INTO these tunnels to feed water through to the village.
This is the water feeding our village from inside the mountain. The level is dropping. How long do we have. ?
These pictures are of "the love pools" now nearly dry.
The flow out from "the love pools" is now underground.
The water is again above ground - not much left.
Dry again. !
Some flow. Not much. !
If those super intensive olives are not paralyzed the river will soon die along with the eco-system.
We have very little time left.

A walk up the river.
We started our walk from below the Casa De La Realidad. The final picture shows the level inside the 2,000 year old tunnel supplying the village with water. The situation is critical. Super intensive olive production must be declared ILLEGAL or this ecosystem will die.
Walking upstream.
Small waterfalls.
Still quite "jungly" and great swimming here.
Small Jakusi pool.
As we go higher up the river we start to see the effect of six million olive trees taking water
Dragon Nest. !
Still flowing but not much. !
The white lines show the descent in levels.
This is where the river used to flow into the mountain for our Irrigation Line. !
Very dry. !
And here we are, inside the mountain in the 2,000 year old tunnel feeding water to the village. Not much left. !! How long have we got. ??

Less and less water. Six million olive trees are sucking us dry.
This is where the river used to flow from the spring.
Previously water flowed into these 2,000 year old tunnels to feed the irrigation line.
Here the water is flowing from what is left of the spring down to the "love pools" which are almost dry.
