Less and less water. Six million olive trees are sucking us dry.

The white lines show the previous level of the water. We are at the top of the river and it is drying up.
This is where the river used to flow from the spring.
Previously water flowed into these 2,000 year old tunnels to feed the irrigation line.

Here the water is flowing from what is left of the spring down to the "love pools" which are almost dry.

  1. This saddens me incredibly. Are the terrapins still surviving all of this?

  2. Yes, and for how long. ? Please send a tweet to Susana Díaz telling her to stop the super intensive olive production.

Use the #SusanaDiaz and #SalvemosElRioDeAguas hashtags to keep it trending.

Susana Diaz is the president of the Junta de Andalucia, Andalucian provincial government.
